My Tasting Notes

Nose: Intense and smoky, sea breeze with spray, a surprising hint of green apple
Palate:
Peat punch, but not as sweet as the 10yo, very spicy, even a bit herbal
Finish:
Very long and smoky
Overall: This is a powerful dram. An uncompromising young Laphroaig enhanced with strong wood notes. A little water seems to make it even stronger. Nothing for the faint of heart, but a true delight for those who can take a punch.

Score: 90/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

peaty but still very smooth.
a pleasure already as it gets out of the bottle; but try a (very) little drop of still water and it will change its style into nothing worse. give it a try both ways.
