The peaty malt from Tomintoul. No age statement. – 40%

My Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet peat, “wet dog” as Serge Valentin would put it
Palate: Peat joins aromatic fruits, malty and slightly salty
Finish: Medium long, some caramel, like an empty ashtray at the end
Overall: Nocticeably better than its unpeated cousin but cannot really cope with good Islay malts

Score: 75/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

My Tasting Notes

Nose: Somewhat weak, fruity, not sure which fruit….
Palate: Mild with a touch of honey, slightly malty
Finish: Short, some caramel showing through
Overall: Middle-of-the-road malt. Doesn’t hurt the palate but is soon forgotten.

Score: 71/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
