My Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sea breeze, a bit of smoke, citrus fruit, vanilla
Palate: Slightly peaty, slightly herbal, salt, caramel, quite spicy
Finish: Long and dry with smoky caramel
Overall: A nice balance of quite a few different flavours, more maritime on the nose than on the palate.

Score: 83/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Highland Park 1985/2002 – Adelphi

Cask No. 2903 – 55.3%

My Tasting Notes:

Nose: Slightly maritime, tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), just a tiny bit of smoke
Palate: Less fruity than the nose suggests, caramel, some citrus notes, nutmeg, rather sweet
Finish: Medium long and sweet
Overall: Very little noticeable peat, the palate could be a bit fruitier for my taste, but still very pleasant.

Score: 85/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Highland Park Sherry/Port 1989/2005

My Tasting Note:

Nose: Very strong, caramel, mango, a wee bit of smoke
Palate: Caramel, chocolate, dried plums, slightly spicy
Finish: Long, sweet and slightly smoky
Overall: A very nice whisky, perhaps it would have been even better if the finish was a little less dominant.

Score: 88/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

Highland Park 16 yo

From the “Travel Value” range – 40%

My Tasting Notes

Nose: Dark fruits with a gentle ocean breeze
Palate: Quite sherry-ish, only a hint of peat, honey, rasins
Finish: Medium-long, slightly dry
Overall: At first try I was a little disappointed, but now the bottle is almost empty, I am starting to like it. Not the best horse in the stable, but maybe somthing for love on second sight.

Score: 80/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
