Vatting of three ages and three peat levels – 46%
My Tasting Notes:
Color: White wine
Nose: Fireplace, Atlantic jetty, oranges
Palate: Peat, a basket of citrus fruit, vanilla, seaweed, just a little sugar and a little salt
Finish: Very long, peaty and fruity
Overall: A very nice vatting, quite peaty but the typical Laddie fruitiness is always present.

Chateau d’Yquem 1992/2008 – 46%
My Tasting Notes
Nose: Honey, slightly spicy
Palate: Quite sweet, but also a lot of “wood spice” , slight citrus notes
Finish: Medium long, sweet and dry, almost a bit peppery
Overall: Generally, I don’t mind the combination of sweet and spicy in a whisky, but somehow this one does not appeal to me very much.

Chateau Margaux 1992/2008 – 46%
My Tasting Notes
Nose: Just like a glass of red wine
Palate: Sweet, the wine can be noticed, but not as strong as in the nose. Reminds me a bit of port, but also slighly spicy from the wood.
Finish: Medium long with a dry sweetness
Overall: Not bad but a tad to sweet for my taste. If tasted blind might even slip through as an Armagnac
Score: 80/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$

My Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet smoke, becomes fruitier with water
Palate: A firework of different aromas, lots of smoke but not very phenolic, rather sweet
Finish: Very long and smoky
Overall: Very complex aromas that I can’t possibly hunt down all. Exceptional for such a young whisky.
Score: 88/100 – Price Tag $$$$$ – Value for your Money $$$$$
